Process
UPMADE® certification begins with the manufacturer’s provision of waste and production analysis using the UPMADE® Software. UPMADE® visits the factory to implement process changes prior to production. In order to receive UPMADE® Certification, an independent auditor verifies that all criterias have been met. After certification, the producer is ready to start using the UPMADE® Software to manufacture UPMADE®-certified upcycled garments. UPMADE® Certification is valid for three (3) years, during which time at least one audit of the factory is conducted to ensure compliance.
Steps of certification:
Steps of certification:
- Interested manufacturing companies contact UPMADE® and either request assistance in setting up or provide documents ensuring that the procedures required for upcycling production are enforced and reliable
- The auditor visits the production facility and verifies the criterias
- The auditor creates a detailed report about the results of the audit and verifies the compliance with UPMADE® upcycling certification
- A certification acknowledgment diploma is issued by UPMADE®
