Our vision is of the textile, upholstery and soft furnishings industries making a smaller environmental footprint and maximising resource efficiency, thereby improving the lives of people involved in and impacted by those industries. Our aim is to encourage more brands and producers to reduce their industrial leftovers by using it in a smart and transparent manner.
A circular economy produces zero waste and pollution, by design. It is an ideal that the UPMADE® method supports in a real and practical way. Traditional clothing manufacturing creates an average of 18% textile leftovers. Our method (the first of its kind in the world) closes the loop by applying upcycling on an industrial scale and reducing the amount of textile leftovers. Thanks to this, that 18% can now be turned from cost into value.
To further these goals, the UPMADE® system enables brands and manufacturers to apply the UPMADE® method and obtain certification. This system provides a profitable solution to the problem of textile leftovers by making the most of all materials, creating additional environmentally responsible products, reducing waste handling costs, and saving water and energy.
